Christianity has billions of followers. In the US alone, there are millions of Christians. That makes the United States of America to be one of the most Christian nations on earth. Other countries with a significant population of Christians include Mexico, Brazil, the Philippines, and Italy. Christianity started in America centuries ago. It is the Europeans who started Christianity in the Americas. Some early missionaries settled in the Nevada area. Presently, there are hundreds of churches in Las Vegas. There are two major Christian denominations in the world. They are Catholicism and Protestantism.
America is a Christian nation. It was founded on Christian principles. That is the reason why it is one of the most successful countries in the world. The founding fathers of America envisioned a just and moral country. They drafted a constitution that was greatly influenced by the Ten Commandments that were given to Moses on the Mount Sinai.
A good church always places a great emphasis on the issue of morality. This issue must never be taken lightly by a Christian congregation. The reason for having a church in the first place is so that to promote morality in society. Christianity is a moral religion. Christians in America have done a lot as far as promoting morality in the United States of America is concerned.
Morality is the opposite of immorality. A moral society will have peace and prosperity. On the other hand, an immoral society will have chaos and disorder and it will eventually crumble. Immorality never lasts for long. However, morality lasts forever. As a matter of fact, it is the best thing that can happen anywhere in planet earth.
According to Scripture, all have sinned and fallen short of glory. There is no human being on earth that can claim that he has never done any sin since his birth. That is the greatest lie that a person can utter. Every human is born in sin and he continues to sin during the course of his earthly life.
After repenting, one needs to be baptized. This will involve total immersion into water. This can be the water of a lake, river, or a swimming pool. Before anything is done, the water will first need to be blessed by a pastor. One will enter into the water as an old creature and he will come out of it as a new person.
Baptism is not the end of the road. It marks the start of a brand new life. This should be a life of righteousness. The Christian journey is not easy in any way. There will be challenges along the way. Therefore, a believer needs to persist in prayer at all times. Prayer will unlock the doors that have been closed.
At the heart and center of a true church, there is Holy Bible. This is the holiest book on earth. It was written by inspired men and women over a period of thousands of years. Heaven and earth will pass away with a great thunder but no single word of Scripture will pass without being fulfilled.
