A new board game which sounds like a lot of fun is making it's way to the open market in the near future. While designed with travelers in mind, the Self Learning Personal Adventure game can be played from home as well. For, the games designers have created a post card based adventure game in which the United States Postal Service will be the main player.
The concept for the game was born when two gamers were chatting about issues related to gaming online with others. One of the two suggested how it would be fun to send out post cards to people with mini-games on the back. Once having designed the first few postcards, the creators had a viable prototype with which to set up a GoFundMe page.
The game is a series of mini-adventures which are played out over the course of twelve weeks. In the first week, individuals will focus on Character Creation, then in weeks following, a small portion of the overall game will eventually lead to a conclusion. If interested, individuals can begin by discussing the game on Facebook, just search for Adventure Post, click follow, then begin chatting.
The character or avatar of the person will commit a terrible crime against humanity during the first week of game play. Based on the work of Richard Garriott in the UDIC community, the experience will no doubt be a challenge. For, as a sentence, each player must work through several tough physical and mental challenges which will define the real person behind the character.
As part of the game, individuals will face lifelike dilemmas in which eight different virtuous questions will be answered. In preparing answers, it is important to be cautious. For, if not answering in a positive way, individuals may not be able to recover a mantle lost earlier in the game. In addition, the character which will play the foe will be based on the answers provided to these questions.
The board game can also be found online at the Board Game Geek website at www boardgamegeek dot com slash boardgame slash 26851 slash adventure-post-path-self-learning. The inventors and designers of the game know new games and can often be a challenge. As this is the case, the game builders have developed a short holiday version of the game in order to show people what to expect.
The creators have used an old style dungeons and dragons map in the holiday version. While this is the case, Dark Realm Maps' illustrators will be drawing the official maps prior to the games release. Whether trying the holiday version, or waiting on the official release, gamers all over the world appear to be excited about the potential game play this new game has to offer.
In addition to the holiday version, the creators also designed and developed a welcome package. The welcome package includes everything players need to begin the first twelve week adventure, including character creation instructions, dice, post cards and a custom logo embossed dice bag with four six sided dice. Whereas, as the GoFundMe account obtains more funding, additional post cards and adventures will be released.
